The purpose of The Foundation Blanceflor Boncompagni Ludovisi, née Bildt, is to promote scientific research and education by granting individual scholarships to people with doctor´s degree and younger doctors with Italian or Swedish citizenship and normally not older than 33 years of age.
Studies and research are to be carried out abroad in one or several of the countries Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland or the USA.
The board meets once a year to decide on the assignment of scholarships. Before the end of April grants are communicated and the names posted on The Foundation Blanceflor´s web site, after confirmation from the scholars. Approved as well as dismissed applicants are notified by e-mail.
The board does not give any motivation, neither to approvals nor to dismissals.
The Board of The Foundation Blanceflor Boncompagni Ludovisi, née Bildt consists of five members, professor Arne Ljungqvist, professor Leif Wastenson, professor Anders Flodström, family representative Lars Bildt and lawyer Dag Wersén who is in charge of the Foundation Blanceflor´s management. The administration of The Foundation Blanceflor is handled by Gun Bylund.
